What is FSSAI?
FSSAI stands for Food Safety and Standards Authority of India which is
an organization that governs and monitors the food business in India. It is

& Family Welfare, Government of India.

Types of FSSAI:-

Basic registration:- When the annual turnover of the business is less than 12 Lakhs then the food business operator must get registered with
Registration Form A.
The types of FSSAI License are:-

State license:- If the annual turnover of the business is between 12 Lakhs to 20 crores, then the food business operator shall be applied for central license Form B.
Central License:- If the annual turnover of the business is above 20 crores, then the food business operator must apply for a central license
form B.

Government-issued photo ids such as Aadhar Card, PAN, and Voter ID
Proof of Address of Businesses activity only if the address is different than as mentioned in Photo ID Card.
A Partnership Deed or a Certificate of Incorporation or GST Certificate
Documents required for FSSAI License - For Traders
Proof of expected annual turnover - self-attested
List of directors with full address and contact details which is mandatory for companies only
Food safety management system certificate or a plan (if any)
Declaration form
Photo ID and address proof that is provided by the Government authority of Partner/Directors/ Proprietor/Authorized signatory
Proof of possession of property - sale deed/Rent agreement/electricity bill, etc.
Self-declaration/Partnership deed for Articles of Association & proprietorship/Memorandum respecting the constitution of the firm.
Form 1X: Nomination of persons by the company with the board resolution.

Registration Process of FSSAI:-
FSSAI License or registration relies upon the capacity or turnover that a
candidate premises is qualified for the license which can be central
license, state license, registration, railways, and so on. The given is the

Step 1:- Application Filing
It begins with the submission of Form A (application) to the food and safety department.
Step 2:- Department check
